1. During installation, please inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Select a suitable location that facilitates both the initial installation and future maintenance.
2. The site chosen for the unit's installation-whether a floor, mounting pad, or foundation-must be level to within 6.4 mm and capable of supporting the unit's operating weight.
3. The unit should be situated in a mechanical room with an ambient temperature ranging from 4.4°C to 43.3°C. Sufficient clearance must be maintained around and above the unit to allow for routine maintenance tasks.
4. Clearance space must be reserved at one end of the unit to allow for the removal and cleaning of the condenser tube bundles; alternatively, a doorway or another suitably positioned opening may be utilized for this purpose.
5. Select water piping of appropriate diameter to accommodate the cooling and chilled water systems when the unit is operating at maximum capacity, and ensure all connections are made correctly.
6. For standard applications, the water flow velocity through the evaporator and condenser is permitted to range between 1.0 m/s and 3.6 m/s.
7. Water flow rates must remain stable under all load conditions.
8. All chilled water and cooling water piping should be designed and installed in accordance with standard industry practices. The chilled water pump should be positioned on the unit's inlet piping to ensure positive pressure and adequate flow within the unit. When routing piping, vibration-absorbing joints should be incorporated to ensure proper flexibility and to prevent the evaporator from draining when the pump is shut down.
9. The piping system must be firmly supported independently of the chiller unit to prevent mechanical stress from being applied to the unit's components. Pipe hangers should be positioned to facilitate proper pipe alignment.
10. To minimize noise and vibration transmission, it is highly recommended to install vibration isolators on the piping.
11. To ensure the economical and efficient operation of the chiller, it is advisable to consult a water treatment specialist to analyze the quality of the water supplied to the evaporator and condenser. Poor water quality can lead to scale accumulation-thereby impairing heat transfer-or result in corrosion, sediment formation, and microbial growth, all of which compromise the unit's performance and increase operating and maintenance costs.
12. Generally, proper water treatment and the periodic cleaning of the tube bundles are sufficient to maintain optimal performance. However, if existing water quality conditions cannot be adequately improved through appropriate treatment methods, it may be necessary to specify a higher fouling factor for the tube bundles or to designate specialized construction materials for the unit. 13. Please install a filter at the water inlet and clean it regularly.
14. Upon completion of leak testing, all pipe connections must undergo anti-rust treatment.
15. To facilitate routine maintenance, users may implement some (or all) of the following measures:
(a) Pressure gauges equipped with cocks, as well as shut-off valves, may be installed on the cooling water and chilled water inlet and outlet piping, positioned as close as possible to the chiller unit;
(b) An overhead rail and beam system may be installed above the equipment to facilitate maintenance operations.
