Below Zero Cooling

Our company has its own R&D team. Our engineers have worked for over ten years. We have worked with Sanyo (Japan) for a long time. Our compressors are all good quality. This low temperature water chiller can drop water temperature below zero. The lowest can reach minus 30 degrees. It is different from ordinary chillers. Ordinary chillers usually only go down to 5 to 10 degrees. This one is for factories that need low-temperature processes. Last year, a chemical factory in Jiangsu contacted us. They had a reactor. The reaction generated heat. The temperature had to be kept at minus 5 degrees. Otherwise, the product would spoil. They used another brand of chiller before, but the water temperature only went down to 5 degrees. That was not enough. So we installed an ATX-08D product for them. Its cooling capacity is 7.83 kW, which is 6,732 Kcal/h. Input power is 8.6 kW. Max running current is 15.8 A. Power supply is 380V three-phase. R22 refrigerant charge is 3.5 kg times 2. It uses a fully enclosed scroll compressor with power 3 kW times 2. Cooling air flow is 8,000 m³/h. Chilled water flow is 3.75 m³/h. The chilled water tank is 0.17 m³. The water pipe size is G1-1/2 inches. After installation, the reactor temperature stayed stable at minus 5 degrees. The product pass rate increased from 70% to 95%. The customer said this machine saved his orders.

 

How It Works

 

Let me explain how this low temperature water chiller works. It has a refrigerant cycle system. Liquid refrigerant in the evaporator absorbs heat from the water. The water gets cold. The refrigerant turns into gas after absorbing heat. The compressor pulls in this gas and compresses it into high-temperature, high-pressure gas. Then it sends the gas to the condenser to release heat. After releasing heat, it turns back into liquid. Then it goes through an expansion valve and becomes low-temperature, low-pressure liquid. It returns to the evaporator to absorb heat again. This cycle repeats. The water gets colder and colder. Our models include ATX-03D, ATX-05D, ATX-08D, ATX-10D, ATX-15D, ATX-20D, ATX-30D, and ATX-40D. The smallest, ATX-03D, has a cooling capacity of 2.92 kW and weighs 130 kg. The largest, ATX-40D, has 34.2 kW cooling and weighs 1,100 kg. For example, ATX-15D has 16.47 kW cooling, input power 17 kW, and a chilled water tank of 0.26 m³.
